I've decided to make a continued series of portraits inspired by the rawness of film and the 90s. I want to capture females, not their instinctive reaction to pose. I don't mean candid photographs, but more the casual side of any given subject. Along the same lines as my post on Beauty is Memory, I can't help but notice a change in how girls interpret being photographed. They, definitely including myself, have grown accustomed to finding their angles and best shots because its too easy to just keep taking photographs and find the perfect shot. The result is beautiful but its also not very true. With film, you're getting one shot. With my 90s dream, I want to see the raw reaction girls have in 2017 to letting me take their picture.
